Frequently asked questions
Is the embroidery viewer free?
Yes. You can open as many files as you like, with no sign-up.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The file is read by your browser on your own device. It is never sent to our servers.
Why does my DST file show different colors?
DST and EXP files only save stitches and color changes, not thread colors. The viewer uses sample colors so you can tell each color apart; your machine will sew with the threads you load.
Is the stitch count exact?
It counts the stitches saved in the file. Your machine or software may show a slightly different number, because each one counts jumps and trims in its own way.
How do I open a DST or PES file without installing software?
Open this page, then drop the file on the viewer or choose it from your device. It opens in your browser, with nothing to install.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in the browser on your computer, tablet or phone.
Can I edit or convert the file?
Not yet. The viewer only opens files. A format converter is planned for later.
